End of term

Well, today is the end of term and our last KYB study on Matthew. I just love my KYB ladies, they are so encouraging, caring and committed to their faith! I will surely miss seeing them over the next 2 weeks. Next week end is Easter, it is hard to believe it is nearly here already. Karen & Robert are coming for Easter, it will be great to see them again. Today is also our wedding anniversary so we went out for dinner, very nice, now I think it's time I went to bed.

An amazing Day

Last Monday was Labour Day here in Victoria, so we had a lovely long weekend. Then my week became very busy, I had to reorganise my days so as to be able to go to Bendigo on Thursday. It was a special day celebrating the 50th anniversary of CWCI (Christian Women Communicating International), they are the organisation who first set up the KYB study groups. I was amazed to hear that this began here in Australia and has now spread to many other countries!! But I'm jumping ahead of myself, firstly I had to get up at 5.30am to be on the bus at 7.15, we arrived in Bendigo at the huge Baptist Church complex about 9.40, we were served a delicious morning tea, then it was into the day's proceedings. We had a wonderful day of singing, a guest speaker from USA who spoke on "Living in Jesus' abiding presence", and a Christian bookstall (always very popular).More delicious food was served for lunch and afternoon tea, then it was back on the bus and home about 5.40pm. We were tired but exhilarated, next morning it was walking at 6.30 as usual, then off to KYB at 9.15, it was great to be able to share all of this experience with the ladies who couldn't make the trip!

Great weekend

What a lovely weekend! Friday we drove down to Melbourne and stayed overnight with Fiona and Richard, then Saturday morning we picked up Karen and Rob to drive down to Churchhill in Gippsland. We went there to attend Karen's graduation where she received her degree in business and economics!! It was a very hot day but none-the-less enjoyable. Saturday evening back in Melbourne the six of us all went to a wonderful Italian restaurant for dinner - Yummy!! It was a wonderful family time together, we were sorry we had to return home Sunday so Peter could go to work - driving the truck to Melbourne of course!!! This morning, it was back to walking at 6.30 am, now I'm just a bit tired, but I will recover soon.
