Back Again!

Well, here I am back again after a month of not writing anything. We had a lovely time visiting John, Nicole and Jasmyn in New South Wales. They live across the road from the sea so we had some beautiful morning walks along the beach. We also got to drive around and have a look at Byron Bay, Ballina, Murwillumbah and Mullumbimby. It is so green up there and so pretty. Now we have been home 2 and a half weeks, Peter is back at work and I started back at KYB last Friday. Next weekend, Karen, Fiona and Richard are coming for Karen's birthday, we look forward to seeing them.

Enough heat already!!

I am getting so slack, here it is after both Christmas and New Year and I haven't written anything since November!! We enjoyed a lovely mild Christmas day, ate too much as usual, opened lots of pressies and hung out with family. An exciting announcement was made by Fiona & Richard.......they will be parents in July.....Yay, making us Grandparents for the fourth time, I can't wait. Next Christmas will be a special one with this new little person joining us, we are feeling so blessed. We spent a very quiet New Year, just home alone and in bed well before the new year arrived. Next week we will fly up to Coolangatta then drive down to New South Wales to spend a week with our son, daughter in law and youngest grand daughter. I'm hoping the weather will not be to hot and humid, we have just had 6 days of 40 degrees and over, I think it's going to be a long hot summer.

Recovering from the heat !

The past few days have been such a relief from the days of 40+ degrees heat of earlier in the week! I'm hoping it wasn't a taste of things to come this summer! I had an enjoyable morning with some of our KYB ladies watching a DVD of a speaker at the CWCI 50th birthday events, it was a moving and encouraging talk on being Jesus' sheep. I'm looking forward to watching/hearing next weeks' DVD. Speaking of next week, my sister Kath & I are using our senior's free train ticket to go to Melbourne for the day to have a look at the Myer Christmas window and, of course, do a spot of shopping............as you do. That's it for tonight, it's almost my bedtime, so goodnight for now.

Back to blogging!

Well, here I am again at your request Karen! It is nearly 3 months since I wrote anything on here, so much has happened, but I'll just have to write some of it. Firstly, Peter has had 15 weeks off with long service and holidays, it has been a great time, especially since we were able to travel up to Merimbula in September and down to Tassie in October. I just love Tassie, we saw so much down there, but one of the highlights was actually seeing snow falling for the first time on Cradle Mountain, this was followed closely by the Gordon River cruise. Amazing place! I want to go back and see more!!!! Merimbula is a lovely place also, we travelled down through Gippsland then up the coast to get there, stopping at various places on the way there and back, a really nice holiday. I think that is enough writing for tonight!

Holidays are fun!

I can't believe it's been so long since I wrote anything on here! As you can see by the photos, I've had a wonderful holiday in Queensland only to return to the coldest frosty mornings. Now, yesterday we had 28 degrees then today 17 and tonight is going down to minus 1!! We so desperately need rain, especially with that heat so early. This weekend Karen & Rob and Fiona & Richard are coming for Fathers' Day, so that will be wonderful.
